Vaughn Hall is open every day starting June 23 - July 21 this summer 10 am to 4pm for the "Prehistoric Montello Colossal Fossil Exhibit"!! We will have several speakers(Including Sean the Mammoth Hunter) & great exhibits!
Visit our gift store while at Vaughn Hall(55 West Street) for some unique gifts to take home. From T-Shirts to granite necklaces, posters, small stuffed woolly mammoths & some nice "Fossil Themed" gifts as well.

Come and visit the Montello Granite Quarry which is now the big waterfall. Enjoy some time away from the stress of everyday. Have a seat on the red benches right by the waterfall.
Vaughn Hall is open June - September Saturdays: 11-3:00. Learn about the Granite quarry & the taverns of old Montello along with many facts about John Muir. See the old blacksmith shop & the tools that were used. Take some time to stroll along the new walking path on the west end of town on Sunset Drive & enjoy the views at Andy Krakow Memorial Park. View the new dam & spillway & of course the fish ladder! You will see why so many of us enjoy our small town where the two state highways "meet in the middle" in Montello WI |

Our annual meetings are the 2nd Thursday of September at 6:00 at Vaughn Hall in Montello. Anyone is welcome & can request minutes through this website.
